FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Houston, TX, June 15, 2005

Bayou City Boys Club, Inc. (BCBC) released details of its annual Summer Theater matinee benefit event, which takes place on Sunday, July 24, 2005 at Stages Repertory Theater (3201 Allen Parkway).  This year’s performance will be The Honky Tonk Angels, written and directed by Ted Swendley, founding artistic director of Stages Repertory Theater.  The Honky Tonk Angels are three curvaceous crooners with guitars and dreams in hand who meet on a bus bound for the glitz and glamour of Nashville. With romance, husband problems, and a little gospel thrown in for good measure, this torchin’ and twangin’ revue features all-time favorite country classics and celebrates women’s voices in country music throughout the years.  Admission price is $40 per person for all seating with proceeds benefiting The Center for AIDS.  Tickets can be purchased using cash or check from any BCBC member or online by credit card at www.bcbc.info.

BCBC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1992 to raise funds for local HIV/AIDS care-giving organizations, education efforts and clinical research.  Since its inception, BCBC has donated over $680,000 to non-profit organizations serving Houston’s HIV/AIDS community and has received numerous community and media awards along the way.  In addition, BCBC has been selected as organizational Grand Marshal of the 2005 Houston Pride Parade.
