October 27, 2004 --

The members of Bayou City Boys Club are once again recognized for their endeavors in the community.  Bayou City Boys Club was selected as a favorite in several categories by the readers of Outsmart Magazine in the 2004 Gayest and Greatest Poll.  The awards presentation took place at South Beach.  In this year's poll, BCBC was selected for two awards.  The first award was "Favorite Social Organization".  2004 marks the third year in a row that BCBC has received this award.

In recognition of the work that BCBC does, BCBC also received the award for "Favorite Philanthropic Organization".  This marks the first time BCBC has received this honor.  In addition to these awards, BCBC was also recognized in two other categories.

BCBC's largest fundraising event, the Jungle party, was selected as one of  the "Favorite Benefits of the Year".  And for the first time, BCBC was also recognized as a "Favorite Community Organization".

Bayou City Boys Club would like to thank the readers of Outsmart magazine for the awards and recognition.
