FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Houston, TX, August 05, 2005 Bayou City Boys Club, Inc. (BCBC) announced details today for their popular 3rd annual Gospel Brunch to be held on Sunday, October 2, 2005 in the stunning Crystal Ballroom at the Rice Lofts in downtown Houston. Brunch and live entertainment runs from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM. 100% of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the PWA (People with AIDS) Coalition to assist with the worthwhile services provided by that organization to the local HIV/AIDS community. Live gospel music will provide the foot-tapping, hand-clapping atmosphere at this fundraising event. Last year, over 320 guests generated $4,000 for the Center for AIDS. Headlining the live performers at the October 2nd event will be internationally renowned gospel/blues singer Diunna Greenleaf and the Blue Mercy Band. A returning favorite, Ms. Greenleaf has moved audiences at previous BCBC brunches by way of her powerful vocals and her ability to reach out and touch her audience. For the first time, a full gospel choir will perform this year, as well. Tickets will be available online starting the week of August 8 at www.bcbc.info and are $50 per person. Included in the ticket price is a catered full traditional brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas. A cash bar will also be available. BCBC is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization established in 1992 to raise funds for local HIV/AIDS service providers, education efforts and research. From their annual gospel brunch, the Jungle party and summer theater events, BCBC has donated over $680,000 to local charitable organizations. |
