Press and News Releases

April 27, 2008 --

Bayou City Boys Club (BCBC), a Houston based non profit organization, is proud to announce the amount raised from Jungle 16.  The event raised a total of $45,500 in proceeds.  The proceeds were donated to eight beneficiaries at an event held at the Lovett Inn.. The beneficiaries included:

  • AIDS Foundation Houston-Stone Soup Assistance Program,

  • Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans,

  • Bering Omega Community Services,

  • Houston Buyers Club,

  • Montrose Counseling Center,

  • Pet Patrol,

  • Southeast Texas Legal Clinic,

  • Thomas Street Clinic.

Each of these Houston-area organizations provides direct services to persons afflicted with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

As in the past, the cost of the main event was completely underwritten by generous individual underwriters and corporate sponsors, allowing the organization to donate all of the proceeds from main event ticket sales to the beneficiaries. BCBC's weekend partners donate a portion of the door proceeds from the events that they produce.

BCBC is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization whose mission is to raise money for Houston area HIV/AIDS service providers, research and education.
