June  3, 2007 --

Bayou City Boys Club (BCBC), a Houston based non profit organization, is proud to announce the amount raised from Jungle 15, the fifteenth anniversary edition of its highly acclaimed Easter weekend dance event. Despite a slightly reduced attendance due to inclement weather, Jungle 15 raised a total of $54,000 in proceeds. This amount is one of highest totals the Jungle event has ever raised. This proceeds were donated to six beneficiaries at an event held at the Lovett Inn.. The beneficaries included: AIDS Foundation Houston, Bering Omega Community Services, Brentwood Community foundation, Casa de Esperanza de los Niños, Legacy Community Health Services and Montrose Counseling Center. Each of these Houston-area organizations provides direct services to persons afflicted with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Texas native DJ/Producer Roland Belmares headlined this year's main event, which was held in a new venue for Jungle, Warehouse Live. The new venue was well received and will be the host of next year's Jungle. Once again, BCBC partnered with local clubs and promoters to fill Easter weekend with special Jungle 15 events featuring some of the top DJ's in the country at some of Houston's hottest clubs.

As in the past, the cost of the main event was completely underwritten by generous individual underwriters and corporate sponsors, allowing the organization to donate all of the proceeds from main event ticket sales to the beneficiaries. BCBC's weekend partners donate a portion of the door proceeds from the events that they produce.

BCBC is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization whose mission is to raise money for Houston area HIV/AIDS service providers, research and education.
